Martin Foster the editor and publisher of Reconnect magazine had been one of the first people I’d told when I had the idea for Healers Konnect. He was very encouraging about it and agreed to be my first Q&A session guest.
I was pleased with the turn out. This month we had 20 booked in and 14 arrived.
[Did you spot the name labels? I remembered them this month!]
Both Martin and I had been cautious about promoting it after the experience I had last month and so this felt like a good sized group.
There’s always some uncertainty when you’re doing an event of any size, and as this is not a structured workshop neither of us knew whether we’d have enough questions from the group to keep it going.
Of course, we needn’t have worried – we had more than enough questions, in fact we could have gone on for another hour or two!
I had hoped to break earlier for tea and have more than 10 mins for the mingling/networking session. But despite a couple of attempts to break earlier we carried on as there were some excellent questions and Martin was on a roll.
Before the Q&A session began we did have a discussion about confidentiality and whether we could freely discuss what was said outside of the group. Most felt it was ok to do so unless they specifically said they didn’t want what they said to be mentioned outside the session.
I’ve decided not to talk or write about what was said but I do have a picture I took during our closing ceremony when we lit the candles.
As before we also wrote our obstacles down and put them safely in the closed basket and the notes of wisdom are proudly on display in the open basket.
I had a few obstacles myself yet again – would you believe, just like last month I couldn’t shower at home again!
This time, I had no water at all. Turns out it was a clogged filter.
While I was out it was cleaned and the water tank refilled. When I got back home later I was delighted to discover I had water on tap again.
I have to say water on tap whether hot or cold still feels like a luxury to me now. I know most people in the world would agree that it is a luxury, but you and I are so fortunate that we can usually take it for granted.
Apart from that little emergency I’ve had tonsillitis which has slowed me down. It’s not too bad now, I can function but again I’m not at my best.
I don’t know about you but I’ve found that all this breaking down of the old just makes room for the new, and so I see it all as positive, even though it doesn’t always feel like it at the time!
On my way out in the morning before the session I saw a couple of deer and couldn’t resist trying to capture the moment. I found them to be a positive sign and took comfort in that, even though the picture doesn’t do them justice I wanted to include it here.
Speaking of new I do have some exciting plans for Healers Konnect which I can’t wait to share.
In the meantime, I thought this was appropriate – I had some Throat Comfort Yogi tea before the session and it made me smile.
It hope it does for you too.
I can’t wait to see you shine 😃
